Leading African Entertainment Company Signs Multi-Million-Dollar Renewal Contract with Darktrace
Darktrace, a global leader in cyber security AI, today announced that one of Africa’s leading entertainment corporations has signed a multi-million-dollar contract renewal as it continues to use Darktrace’s Self-Learning AI to protect its digital enterprise.
Providing television and online video services to millions of people across the continent, the entertainment company has deployed the full range of Darktrace products to protect its business from sophisticated cyber-attacks. A long-standing customer, the company initially deployed Darktrace’s Enterprise Immune System in 2017, and was one of the first organizations to purchase Antigena when it was launched. More recently, it adopted Darktrace’s new capability for its Autonomous Response technology to cover the endpoint.
Recent geopolitical events have only served to heighten the need for reliable and trustworthy sources of information, and organizations in the media industry are increasingly turning to AI technology to defend against hackers looking to spread misinformation or extort intellectual property and subscriber information. By learning ‘self’ for an organization, Darktrace’s technology is able to interrupt novel attacks, using its understanding of the business to enforce ‘normal’ and stop the threat from escalating into a crisis.
“We are really pleased to be protecting this organization with the full suite of Darktrace capabilities,” said Poppy Gustafsson OBE, CEO of Darktrace. “Media and entertainment services operate across a complex digital landscape and our AI-powered technology is uniquely positioned to spot and stop advanced attacks that have got past perimeter defenses and are already in progress.”
