Darktrace Expands in Australia as Customer Demand Soars

Singapore
June 6, 2019

Darktrace, the world’s leading AI company for cyber defense, has today announced that it has opened two new offices in Sydney and Melbourne to meet growing demand for its autonomous cyber AI technology.

Continuing on its path of unparalleled growth in Australia, Darktrace has more than doubled its headcount in the last year. The new offices, in Sydney’s Australia Square Tower and Melbourne’s iconic Rialto Building, will support the company’s expansion across the country.

Australian organizations of all sizes have turned to cyber AI to identify and contain fast-moving cyber-threats within seconds. Customers include City Tattersalls Club, Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA), Queensland-based Lockyer Valley Regional Council, and Grant Thornton Australia. Darktrace also counts Telstra and Tesserant as strategic partners.

Marcelo A. Veloz, CEO at City Tattersalls Club, commented: “Given the sophistication of the modern cyber-threat, defending our digital infrastructure has never been more significant a challenge. And as we create our plans for a proposed multi-million re-development of our property – which includes a hotel, residential tower, and a growing member base – cyber security has fast become one of our largest organizational risks.”

He continued: “Darktrace’s ability to neutralize both stealthy threats and machine-speed attacks is nothing short of revolutionary. Armed with powerful AI, we can be assured that, even as our business transforms, our cyber defenses are able to fight back at any moment, allowing us to focus on what we do best – creating memorable experience for our members.”
