Milan Bergamo Airport Protects Digital Infrastructure with Darktrace Cyber AI

Milan
December 17, 2018

Darktrace, the world’s leading AI company for cyber defense has today announced that SACBO, operator of Milan Bergamo Airport has deployed Darktrace’s AI technology to defend its 13 million yearly customers from cyber-threats.

As Milan Bergamo Airport runs critical operations twenty-four hours a day, the security team is acutely aware of the disruption a successful cyber-attack could bring and the need for strong, constant defense. However, introducing and maintaining traditional security tools is time consuming and could jeopardize the effective running of the airport. Installed in one hour and powered by self-learning AI, Darktrace is now used by the airport security team to defend against emerging threats across its cloud, SaaS, IoT, and physical environments.

Ettore Pizzaballa, CIO of SACBO, commented: “Pressure on airport security is very high given the ferocity of today’s cyber-attacks. The threat landscape is evolving so quickly that security teams today can no longer be expected to know what constitutes a threat, and by then it may be too late. Seamlessly integrating with our systems, Darktrace understands and illuminates the cyber-risk across our entire digital infrastructure, and actively defends against in-progress threats.”
