City of Auburn Defends Network with Darktrace AI

Enterprise Immune System Protects Municipality from Advanced Attacks
San Francisco
May 8, 2018

Darktrace, the world’s leading AI company for cyber defense, has today announced that the City of Auburn in Washington has deployed the Enterprise Immune System to protect its networks from cyber criminals, and gain visibility of previously unknown network vulnerabilities.

The City of Auburn joins a growing number of pioneering national and regional governments harnessing Darktrace’s powerful AI to defend their people and data, including The Scottish Government, the City of Las Vegas, Livingston County, and Lockyer Valley Regional Council in Australia.

Paul Haugan, Director of Innovation and Technology at the City of Auburn, commented: “Ensuring the security and functionality of a network that serves 80,000 citizens, and protecting sensitive financial data on the City’s multi-million budget, is a task too great for a single security officer. After deploying the Enterprise Immune System, it’s like we have a 24/7 security team. The AI alerts us to threats we would never have known about. For us, deploying Darktrace wasn’t an option; it was a necessity in staying ahead of today’s advanced and unpredictable threats.”
