Avancial Deploys Enterprise Immune System
Darktrace, the leader in Enterprise Immune System technology, has today announced that Avancial, a wholly owned subsidiary of France’s national rail company, SNCF, has deployed its self-learning technology for cyber defense. Powered by AI algorithms that self-learn what is ‘normal’ for a network, the Enterprise Immune System can detect and respond to anomalies without any prior knowledge or human intervention.
Avancial oversees software development and application support for SNCF. Following a thorough review of the cyber security market, Avancial selected Darktrace’s Enterprise Immune System to gain full visibility into its network and identify cyber-threats at their nascent stages, before they escalate into crises.
Traditional security tools are simply not sufficient to defend our network against today’s sophisticated cyber-threats,” said Alain Charpentier, CISO, Avancial. “With its self-learning technology that requires no training data sets or manual configuration, Darktrace is capable of uncovering ‘unknown unknowns’ and alerting us to abnormal behavior in real time. Instead of being inundated with false positives, our security team now benefits from automatic alerts about genuinely threatening behavior, allowing us to react swiftly and stop any attacks in their tracks.”
We are delighted that Avancial has joined the steadily growing number of companies across all industries in France that have deployed the Enterprise Immune System,” said Emmanuel Meriot, Country Manager, France and Spain, Darktrace. “As cyber security has increasingly become an arms race, forward-thinking companies like Avancial turn to Darktrace as the only proven application of unsupervised machine learning that automates the process of detecting and responding to threats automatically and in real time.”
Darktrace is the world’s leading machine learning company for cyber security. Created by mathematicians from the University of Cambridge, the Enterprise Immune System uses AI algorithms to automatically detect and take action against cyber-threats within all types of networks, including physical, cloud and virtualized networks, as well as IoT and industrial control systems. A self-configuring platform, Darktrace requires no prior set-up, identifying advanced threats including zero-days, insiders and stealthy, silent attackers in real time. Headquartered in San Francisco and Cambridge, UK, Darktrace has 23 offices worldwide.
