Darktrace Antigena Named ‘Best AI Product in Security’
Darktrace, the leader in Enterprise Immune System technology, has today announced that its pioneering autonomous response technology Darktrace Antigena was named ‘Best AI Product in Security’ at the CogX AI Innovation Awards held in London last night.
The CogX AI Awards celebrate the most innovative contributions to the fields of AI, data science and machine learning. Darktrace Antigena’s autonomous response technology is the world’s first and only proven AI technology capable of taking precise remedial action against emerging cyber-attacks in real time.
Leveraging advances in machine learning and probabilistic mathematics, the Enterprise Immune System self-learns the normal ‘pattern of life’ for every user and device on a network and uses that constantly evolving baseline to detect attacks in their nascent stages. As a part of the Enterprise Immune System, Darktrace Antigena acts as a digital antibody, taking only very targeted remedial action against in-progress threats – for example, it can slow down or stop a compromised connection or device, but does not impact normal business operations. By replicating this function of the human immune system, Darktrace Antigena restrains or contains threats instantaneously, augmenting security teams in the face of stealthy, never-seen-before attacks.
The CogX ‘Best AI Product in Security’ award is further testament to the fundamental power of our technology,” commented Poppy Gustafsson, CEO EMEA, Darktrace. “Despite all the hype around machine learning, the reality is that it is incredibly difficult to get right in the context of complex networks and brazen attacks that spread at machine speeds. Darktrace Antigena truly delivers on the promise of AI in cyber as the only autonomous response technology proven to neutralize pernicious attacks within minutes, before they have inflicted damage.”
