November 14, 2016

Darktrace, the leader in Enterprise Immune System technology, announced today that the online and digital services provider, Servizi in Rete 2001, has chosen to deploy Darktrace’s innovative, self-learning cyber defense solution.

Headquartered in Rome, Servizi in Rete 2001 provides thousands of tobacconists and larger companies with a range of services and products, including regional travel tickets for public purchase. Following a thorough review of the cyber security marketplace, Servizi in Rete 2001 selected Darktrace’s Enterprise Immune System to protect its data from cyber-attacks.

“Compared to all other solutions on the market at the moment, Darktrace is the only one that uses machine learning to face the challenge of today’s cyber-threats,” said Massimo Salierno, CIO, Servizi in Rete 2001. “With Darktrace, we’ve found the right cyber technology to cope with the evolving threat landscape.”

The Enterprise Immune System is powered by machine learning and mathematics, uniquely developed by specialists from the University of Cambridge. It learns the ‘pattern of life’ specific to each user, device and network, and uses this to spot anomalous behaviors, thereby detecting potential threats, without using signatures or rules.

“We are delighted to be working with Servizi in Rete 2001 to help protect its assets and customer data,” said Corrado Broli, Country Manager, Italy. “Darktrace’s self-learning approach is fast becoming the number one cyber defense solution in Italy, as Italian companies of all sizes and across all sectors are focusing more on cyber security, to protect against the next generation of threats.”
