Darktrace Deployments Surpass 1,500 Milestone
Darktrace, the leader in Enterprise Immune System technology, has today announced that its self-learning technology has been deployed over 1,500 times worldwide, reflecting the growing demand for its unique approach to cyber defense.
Over 18,000 serious cyber incidents have been uncovered to date by the Enterprise Immune System, which leverages new machine learning and mathematics – developed by mathematicians from the University of Cambridge – to understand ‘normal’ and ‘abnormal’ behaviors within networks automatically.
Digital payment solutions provider, Blackhawk Network, bicycle retailer, Trek, and UK conservation charity, National Trust, are just a few of Darktrace’s recent customer wins, adding to a global client base spanning all industry verticals, including healthcare, financial services, retail, transportation and manufacturing.
Geographical expansion continues apace, with 22 Darktrace offices globally, including new bases in Johannesburg and Reston, Virginia. The global headcount now stands at over 330. Growth in Asia-Pacific has been particularly strong this quarter, with a 600% increase in deployments, a partnership with Samsung SDS, and 100% growth in the size of the regional team.
“I’ve been working in software development for over 25 years and I’ve been blown away by Darktrace. I’ve never come across anything like it,” said Albert Marsden, IT Director, Bassadone Automotive Group, which recently became a customer. “The Enterprise Immune System ticks all the boxes. It assures us that nothing malicious is on our network, whilst giving us confidence that if anything does creep in, we will find out about it, at the earliest possible stage.”
“Darktrace has proven that it detects threats that would otherwise go unnoticed, and this consistent achievement is reflected in our rapid growth this quarter,” said Nicole Eagan, CEO, Darktrace. “Machine learning is critical to defending ever more complex networks, faced with a challenging threat landscape. Darktrace is the only company to deliver the true promise of self-learning technology, through the Enterprise Immune System.”
Darktrace continues to attract widespread industry recognition. In September, it was named in The Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 2016 ‘Ones to Watch,’ and won the ‘Europe’s Allstar Company’ award at the Investor Allstars Awards.
Darktrace is a world-leading cyber-threat defense company. Its multi-award-winning Enterprise Immune System technology automatically detects and responds to emerging threats, powered by machine learning and mathematics developed by specialists from the University of Cambridge. Without using rules or signatures, Darktrace models the ‘pattern of life’ of every device, user and network within an organization, identifying and mitigating cyber-threats before damage is done. Darktrace’s self-learning technology has been deployed globally and across all sectors, including energy, retail, telecommunications, manufacturing, financial services and healthcare. The company is headquartered in San Francisco and Cambridge, UK, with over 20 global offices including London, New York, Milan, Mumbai, Paris, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo and Toronto.
