One of Europe's Most Prestigious Cosmetics Brands Selects Darktrace

Enterprise Immune System Helps Protect Top Cosmetics Company’s Intellectual Property
Cambridge, UK
November 17, 2015

Darktrace, the leader in Enterprise Immune System technology, announces today that one of Europe’s most prestigious cosmetics brands is using cutting-edge Enterprise Immune System technology in order to enhance its cyber security.

Based in Europe, the company distributes its prestigious beauty products worldwide and draws the majority of its revenue from export. Using unique recipes, the company considers the protection of its intellectual property as a priority, and was looking for a technology that would help reduce the risk to its critical information, and protect the brand reputation in the long term.

Following a four-week trial, it decided to deploy Darktrace’s Enterprise Immune System, due to this technology’s unique ability to detect new and emerging threats, which have not previously been encountered, from inside the network. Unlike perimeter defences, Darktrace’s self-learning technology provides the company’s security team with a 24/7 visual overview of its networks and is capable of uncovering anomalous behaviors that are unseen by conventional security tools.

“This global leader has a strong heritage as a visionary company and its commitment to cyber security reflects this forward-thinking mentality. It is dedicated to protecting its critical information, not only by trying to block threats, but also protecting against unpredictable activities inside the organization that may cause damage,” said Nick Trim, Managing Director EMEA, Darktrace. “Darktrace’s machine learning and mathematics mean that we can address this difficult challenge, by highlighting anomalous behaviors in real time, without making assumptions about what ‘bad’ looks like.”
